Addison Reserve Country Club and Association, recognized as a Platinum Club of America, ranking #5 in the nation for Residential Communities, is seeking a Full-Time Retail Coordinator to join our team.
Responsibilities to include:
Maintain a written buying plan according to the established yearly sales plan
Determine the direction of soft goods and hard goods retail sales
Supervise Golf Shop staff and resolve member and employee problems when they arise
Oversee buying team & meetings with sales representatives to place all orders related to soft goods retail sales buying plan for both golf and tennis
Assist with receiving and merchandising in Tennis when necessary.
Operate the shop and perform a variety of duties such as: answering phone calls, making, changing, and canceling tee times, ringing through cart fees, guest fees, and merchandise, folding clothing, straightening up the Golf Center
Process all invoices for payment and submit to accounting
Order, track, check-in, and display merchandise
Place members’ special orders and follow up on order details
Provide members accurate arrival dates for their special order
Open & close of The Golf Center.
Follow all appropriate procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the shop
Control inventory for all hard and soft goods
Organize & supervise physical inventories
Process month-end reports for Directors of Golf and Accounting
Generate PO’s for all incoming invoices
Receive stock merchandise; special orders into inventory and negative receive merchandise when credits come in
Maintain a daily receiving log
Follow up with Vendors on discount programs
Monitor weekly financials from the accounting office
Handle member inquires/questions
Track on daily basis the COS
Assist Golf Center with all special events
Create Raving Fans through excellent customer service
Communicate with members, coworkers, management, staff, the general public, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.
Respond promptly when returning telephone calls and replying to correspondence and faxes.
Act, dress, and behave in a professional manner to reflect a positive image of Addison Reserve Country Club.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Requires knowledge of inventory management/controls
Must have knowledge of statistical information to ensure proper stock mix and turnover
Requires excellent customer service skills
Must be able to supervise and motivate staff members
Requires good mathematical skills
Must be able to multi-task and think quickly
Ability to communicate well orally and in writing
Ability to analyze data and prepare reports
Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions
Ability to interact professionally and maintain effective working relationships with superiors, coworkers, members, and others
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
Ability to be flexible and juggle many assignments or projects at the same time
Ability to work long and unusual hours when necessary
Interacting comfortably with all levels of staff in the organization
Working efficiently in a stressful environment
Must be able to stand on feet for six hours and must have the ability to pick up to 25 pounds
Computer Equipment and Software Requirements:
This position requires the ability to work with a personal computer in a Windows environment. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Extensive knowledge of computer point of sale and budgeting systems is required. Knowledge of Golf Tee Time system and GHIN required
