    Assistant Golf Professional

    Department: Golf
    Total Compensation: $45,000-$65,000 (seasonal)
    Reports To: Head Golf Professional
    Supervises: Outside Service-Hourly Staff

    Job Summary: Provide leadership, direction, and supervision within the Golf Operations to ensure a quality experience for both members/guests and fellow Club employees. Duties shall include, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Assist Head Golf Professional in implementation and execution of:
    o Golf Shop Operations.
    o Outside Service Operations.
    o Club Supported Golf Programing.

    • Staff Supervision:
    o Hire, train, and supervise the Outside Service Staff.
    o Conduct periodic performance reviews of the Outside Service Staff.
    o Develop a weekly schedule.
    o Oversee Outside Service area cleanliness through vacuuming, dusting, etc.

    • Member Services:
    o Develop relationships and interact with members and guests.
    o Plan, organize, and implement tournaments, including-budgeting, staffing, planning, and promotion.
    o Provide golf instruction through lessons, clinics, schools, and seminars.
    o Participate in Club Junior Golf Program.
    o Participate in Golf Shop merchandising, including-ordering, pricing, display, inventory, and sales.
    o Participate in the Junior Sports Camp.
    o Play golf with members.
    o Periodically attend and participate in committee meetings.

    • Budgeting:
    o Participate in the development of annual budget for the Golf Shop.
    o Provide daily reporting to (HP) regarding rounds played and Golf Shop sales.
    o Participate in daily opening and closing procedures.
    o Assist with daily bookkeeping and daily reports.
    o Provide budget information for tournaments.

    Qualifications:
    • Successful completion of the PGA Player Ability Test.
    • College degree in Sports Management, Business, or related field preferred.
