Mission Statement: Our mission is to work together to deliver superior customer service and develop relationships that make the experience at East Hampton Golf Club memorable and enjoyable. East Hampton Golf Club is a high-end private "golf only" facility built on 126 acres of land in the affluent seaside hamlet of East Hampton, New York. The Club is a walking-only facility with an excellent caddie program that serves our 250 individual members. East Hampton Golf Club is a beautifully intimate and intricate challenge created by design maestros Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw. Noted for its wildly contrasting landforms, the opening seven holes are links-like in the manner as they tumble softly across a flat, open pasture. The final eleven, by contrast, are set within a dramatically undulating woodland, and have a unique Pine Valley–type feel. East Hampton Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced First Assistant Golf Professional to join our golf operations team. This individual will play a key leadership role in delivering an exceptional member golf experience, assisting with the management of daily operations, member/staff engagement, and player development programs. The ideal candidate is a golf professional with a passion for service, leadership, and the game of golf.
The First Assistant Professional is a highly visible and important member of the Golf Staff. Successful candidates will bring a great attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Pleasant and outgoing personality with the ability to act as a role model for fellow staff. Professionalism (appearance, accessibility, caring attitude) and attention to detail are essential personal characteristics of a successful candidate. A desire and proven ability to operate the golf shop, tournaments, and manage inside and outside staff is required. The position offers flexible start and ending dates (April-October) for those who would like to secure a winter position.
This position reports to the Head Professional and will work closely with other members of the professional staff to provide a memorable and enjoyable experience. In addition to assisting with all daily duties, this position will have ample opportunities with tournament operations, merchandising, golf instruction, club fitting, administration, and building relationships with members. Assist the Head Professional in operational management, including leading the operation in his absence. Regularly playing with the membership and fellow staff is also a high priority of the Club!
Experience Required:
• Class A PGA Member in good standing
• 3+ years of experience as Assistant Golf Professional
• Proficient in all aspects of tournament operations
• Skilled in multi-tasking
• Excellent communication and member service skills
• Strong attention to detail and great organizational skills
• Proficient in Microsoft programs and Golf Genius Tournament System

Compensation:
• Salary $45,000 over 30 weeks
• Total anticipated income 70K – 75K
• Quality housing & utilities provided 100% by club
• Lesson Rate: $150 to $175 per hour based on experience
