Interlachen Country Club (ICC) is accepting resumes for a seasonal Assistant Golf Professional. We are seeking a passionate and perceptive individual who will use their talents in the areas of golf and hospitality to connect with our members and guests to enhance the golf experience.
The Assistant Golf Professional is responsible for promoting the game of golf and being a brand ambassador for ICC. They will assist in all facets of the golf department including tournaments, instruction, club-fitting, caddie program, merchandising, managing daily play and the business of golf. If you are the candidate chosen for this role, you will work alongside an exceptional team of PGA professionals, interns and club staff.
Opposite the Minnesota golf season, we will work collaboratively to find a complementary role in golf to enable this individual to continue to grow their network and golf experience year round.

Interlachen is recognized as the #1 course in MN and one of the finest private country clubs in the nation. The timeless Donald Ross designed golf course remains a joy to play for golfers of all levels.

What you will do:
Spread hospitality and goodwill among all members, guests and fellow staff.
Welcome all members and guests in the pro shop and around the club; anticipate and assist in their daily needs.
Assist with all roles of the golf department as needed (starter, ranger, outside ops)
Active role in leading and organizing club tournaments, Men’s League and Women’s Leagues
Instruct private lessons, group clinics, and junior golf.
Participate in Play with the Pro Tournament.
Participate in “Future Leaders Program”
Staff is encouraged to practice and play. Goal is to play with 30 members each season.
Encouraged to compete in MN Section events and other local tournaments.

Golf Operations policies and procedures
Golf Pro Shop
Assist Director of Retail in all aspects of running a $1.3M pro shop including but not limited to:
Placing and receiving special orders
Club Fitting members
Maintaining ICC Shop standards
Knowledgeable with all products in the pro shop. Clubs, balls, shoes, & apparel.
Complete vendor education programs for each line in the pro shop. (Callaway, Ping, Mizuno, Taylor Made, Titleist, Scotty Cameron, Ecco, Foot Joy)
Leadership and Teamwork
Demonstrate the club’s service motto and core values, H.E.A.R.T (Honesty, Enthusiasm, Anticipation, Respect, Tenacity and Teamwork), in your daily work
Serve as a leader, mentor and role model for fellow team members
Observe and assist caddie program as needed
Attend Golf & Green Committee meetings
What we are looking for:
Education and Experience
PGA Member in good standing (preferred, not required)
Strong playing abilities (preferred, not required)
Efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook)
High School diploma or equivalent is required
