Founded in 1908, Lake Shore is a family-oriented private Club on the shore of Lake Michigan. With deep roots in Chicago and the North Shore, the Club has been a home away from home for generations of families and friends for more than a century. Situated on a 127 acres in Glencoe, Illinois, the Club offers an oasis of outdoor recreation, relaxation, and comradery just 25 miles north of Chicago. Lake Shore boasts a championship 18-hole golf course, a robust racquets program, and a waterfront swimming complex, in addition to formal and informal dining and an active social calendar. Perched above a bluff, Lake Shore's historic Howard Van Doren Shaw-designed Clubhouse offers sweeping views of the lake and a beautiful setting for in-season events and private Member functions.
This is a seasonal Assistant Professional position at Lake Shore Country Club (www.lakeshorecc.com) on Chicago’s North Shore. Housing, meals, uniform and playing privileges are provided along with opportunity for a staff equipment deal. Please note that the total compensation is based on salary plus extra incentives over a 7 month season (April-Oct) and we will help to secure a winter position at a southern club if desired.
Candidates will have the opportunity to experience a wide variety of job duties including tournament operations, junior golf clinics, and Golf Shop operations.
The position offers flexible start and ending dates (April-October) for those who would like to secure a winter position or play in the winter tournament series. On site housing and two meals provided per day help economically, and the membership prides itself in taking great care of club employees. A 40 hr work week leaves plenty of time for practice, playing, and general work/life balance.
