Lake Toxaway is a private, gated mountain community located just minutes from Cashiers, Highlands, and Brevard, N.C., in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Lake Toxaway community has a rich history that dates back to the early 1900s when prominent turn-of-the-century families retreated to the area to embrace the unspoiled beauty of Mother Nature and enjoy the company of dear friends and family. Over 100 years later, Lake Toxaway Country Club takes great pride in preserving the community's time-honored traditions by going the extra mile to treat our members and guests as members of the family and providing a respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. One of the club's most unique benefits is its location. Nestled in the heart of North Carolina's most beautiful, unspoiled mountains, the club is conveniently located just a short drive from major metro areas such as Atlanta, Charlotte, Asheville, and Columbia, SC., making it a desired and easily accessible weekend and summer retreat for families. Lake Toxaway Country Club went through a complete course redesigned in 2010 by Chris Spence. Chris Spence changed the course layout by rerouting 14 of the 18 original holes on the course. The Main Clubhouse and Professional Shop also underwent a $7million renovation in 2017. Phase Two of the renovation plan was completed in the Fall of 2020 with the construction of Lake Club, which features a new pool complex and paddleball courts.
-Create a warm and friendly atmosphere in the Golf Professional Shop and Tennis Shop.
-Responsible for purchasing all merchandise for the Golf Professional Shop and Tennis Shop, with the guidance of the Head Professionals.
-Coordinate and lead monthly inventory. This includes physical counts, adjustments, and create/generate monthly inventory reports.
-Work jointly with Head Professional Staff on ordering tournament gifts and awards.
-Create and implement a marketing and sales program.
-Effectively manage the flow of merchandise from delivery to display on the shop floor. This includes unpacking shipments, receiving into POS, pricing, and creating/assisting with merchandise displays.
-Manage and oversee the Special Order program. The club currently uses Golf Genius Golf Shop.
-Maintain superior visual merchandising displays in the Golf and Tennis Shop and ensure the standards are upheld daily.
-Coordinate and educate special merchandise events and programs.
-Implement standard cleaning procedures for the staff to complete when opening and closing the shop.
-Train and educate Professional Staff on items in the shop.
-Responsible for ordering staff uniforms.
-Willingly perform golf/tennis shop administrative duties, including open and closing procedures, answering phone calls, scheduling court/tee times and lessons.
-Promote all upcoming golf and tennis events/tournaments.
-Provide a consistently high level of customer service to the membership and be able to anticipate their needs.
-The Retail/Pro Shop manager will work closely with Head Golf Professional and Head Tennis Professional.
-Must be able to work all shifts, days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
-Understand and enforce club rules and policies.
