    Founded in 1899 by prominent Duluth businessmen, Northland Country Club is one of the five oldest country clubs in Minnesota. Donald Ross was hired by the club in 1923 and laid out a championship golf course that has hosted two prestigious Western Amateurs and a U.S Women’s Open. The club plays host to the annual Northland Men’s Invitational, one of the oldest amateur match play events in the Midwest, the 97th edition of which will be conducted in 2022. Featuring dramatic vistas of Lake Superior and over 400 feet of elevation change, the course has been featured in Golf Digest’s “Top 100 Classic” U.S. courses and regularly appears in “Best in State” rankings.Northland is managed by Hampton Golf.

    Under supervision from the Head Golf Professional, the Player Development Professional will develop & lead instructional programs and provide individual instruction for our members & guests. Assist the golf operations in a limited capacity during the “shoulder” seasons & during major events. This person will supervise all staff members assisting with instructional programs. Team member will also assist in the promotion of all golf activities with the membership.
