Old Chatham Golf Club opened in September 2001 and is a golf only facility with 18 holes. We play 15-18 thousand rounds a year, we have a small caddie program. The club is situated on 400 acres with no homes. Our practice facility is 16 acres. In 2019 we hosted the 65th U.S. Senior Amateur. The club currently has 1 club cottage for overnight stays.

Job Description
Specific Responsibilities
The position is not limited to the following responsibilities but is meant to give a high-level understanding of the position and your role within the team.
Act as a delegate to John Marino and Tyler Blaschak in their absence.
Maintain a good standing within the PGA of America.
Attend Carolinas Section Meetings.
Play in Carolinas Section Events.
Play with Members.
Assist with all Club Events and Tournaments using Golf Genius Tournament Software.
Oversee and administer at least 2 Club tournaments a year from beginning to end. This includes signup, course marking, tournament set up and communication of results.
Be proficient with ForeTees online tee time software.
Have a good working knowledge of the USGA Rules of Golf and be able to administer the rules.
Oversee daily play as Host for the Day when scheduled. The Host for the Day meets and greets members and guests. Manages the first tee by maintaining order and communicating to members when they are on the tee and rangering during the day so to maintain Old Chatham’s pace of play policy.
Assist in the management of our Club’s handicap program.
Assist with our inventory management by ordering and receiving merchandise.
Building and maintain relationships with our vendors and Reps.
Keep the golf shop clean and displays neat.
Ensure all stock items and golf operation needs are properly inventoried by conducting a weekly inventory count of these items.
Assist with monthly inventory counts.
Assist and oversee our Outside Operations. This includes scheduling and training staff.
Assist in running our caddie program. This includes recruiting and the training of caddies as well as assigning caddies to loops upon a member’s request.

Engages with Members & Guests upon their arrival onto the facility or into the golf shop.
Observe, follow and enforce the Club’s policies.

Have a goal of becoming a Head Golf Professional one day.

Represents Old Chatham well on and off property.
Work 5-6 days a week with 1-2 days off a week depending on the Club’s schedule.
