    Orchard Lake Country Club is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented assistant golf professional to join the team for the 2022 season under head golf professional Brian Sleeman. Specific responsibilities will be defined for each team member based on their background and goals, but will include all of the following opportunities:

    – Provide a visible, accessible, and engaging professional presence and welcome to all members, guests, and fellow staff
    – Administer a variety of events from large tournaments to weekly leagues and “outside the box” programs
    – Provide instruction to all demographics through private and group lessons, clinics, and golf schools in conjunction with our teaching professional
    – Provide club-fitting services as needed
    – Assist in the complete retail experience, from buying and inventory management to display rotation, daily sales, and personal shopping
    – Tour the golf course on a regular basis to interact with members while monitoring and managing play
    – Assist the caddie manager/starter in elevating the pre-round experience and daily operation
    – Administer a vibrant junior golf program to include US Kids Golf, Snag Golf, PGA Junior League, and elite inter-club competition
    – Gain experience with tournament, operating, and capital budgets with regular financial reviews under the guidance of the head professional
    – Coordinate with multiple departments to provide a seamless daily experience and elevate special events
    – Contribute to regular staff meetings, conduct daily facility walk-throughs, and assist in written and visual club communications
    – Engage in professional development through a collaborative and supportive team environment, personal goal-setting and evaluation meetings, vendor seminars, and PGA workshops
    – Participate in tournaments and play golf on a regular basis with the members and fellow staff
    – Provide shoulder-season instruction and member service through the use of our two TrackMan simulators

    Assistance will be provided through the golf professional’s nationwide network of colleagues for those balancing their time at Orchard Lake with further seasonal experience in a winter destination.
