Sawgrass Country Club is a 27-Hole Ed Seay designed championship golf course that played host to The Players Championship from 1977-1982 and hosted the Mazda Senior Players Championship in 1987. The course to this day maintains an impressive tournament test, yet will also cater to your weekend golfer and beginner. Sawgrass prides itself on the most elegant amenities and is recognized as a Platinum Club of America and Distinguished Club by Boardroom Magazine. Sawgrass Country Club is looking to engage a passionate and motivated golf professional to join our team. This position is full time and an annual role.
Basic Duties and Expectations
• Golf tournament planning and management (will be assigned events)
• Support outside staff and locker room staff; supervise as needed
• Book tee times and use Golf Tee Time System
• Monitor player flow and Golf Course Pace of Play/Management
• Monitor Handicap System
• Merchandise Sales, Club fitting, display, and inventory of merchandise
• Stay on track in completing PGA Membership Requirements
• Work at maintaining playing ability
• Participate in golf with club members
• Attend PGA skill and/or personal improvement opportunities
