The Landings Golf & Athletic Club on Skidaway Island is on of the largest private, residential golf and athletic club in the Southeastern United States. Located 12 miles from historic Savannah, Georgia, The Landings Club offers members six championship golf courses and his host to both The Korn Ferry Tour's Club Car Championship but also the second stage of PGA TOUR Q-School each year. The Club also boasts 31 tennis courts, 11 pickleball courts, eight bocce courts, seven unique restaurants, four clubhouses, five swimming pools, and a 52,000 sq. ft. wellness center. The Landings Golf & Athletic Club has over 3,500 Golf Members and plays in excess of 170,000 rounds annually. With over 16 PGA/LPGA Professionals or Apprentices the golf operation team prides ourselves on member engagement to attract, retain & engage. The Landings Golf & Athletic Club has a 3 bay, 3,000 square foot Golf Performance Center led by Golf Magazine Top 100 Instructors Joe Plecker and Carol Preisinger.
The Head Golf Professional will lead all aspects of the daily golf operations at one of the club’s premier courses. This position requires a dynamic, service-oriented leader with a passion for the game of golf, a commitment to excellence, and a proven track record of managing high-performance golf operations within a private club environment. This individual must be truly passionate for engaging with members and building and mentoring staff members to be successful.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the golf shop and deliver high level member engagement.
• Deliver exceptional service to members and guests, ensuring an elevated and personalized golf experience.
• Hire, train, and mentor golf staff including assistants and outside operations team.
• Manage the merchandising operation including buying, displaying, inventory control, and sales.
• Collaborate with the Director of Golf on strategic planning, budgeting, and capital improvements.
• Organize and direct men’s, women’s, junior, and mixed events in alignment with the Club’s culture and standards.
• Provide private and group golf instruction; stay current with golf teaching technologies and trends.
• Ensure compliance with all Club policies and maintain high standards for member satisfaction and staff professionalism.
