MB Golf, LLC, will contract an Tournament Director to assist with its current clients – primarily The Outpost Club.
MB Golf, LLC specializes in the following:
• Planning and executing national and international golf events and trips.
• Consulting services to include marketing plans, member recruitment and retention, policies and procedures and strategic planning.
• Creating, proofing and distributing monthly and quarterly golf product newsletters.
• Corporate and charity merchandise fulfillment.
The Tournament Director will support the Director of Golf, General Manager and Tournament Director for MB Golf, LLC with their day-to-day responsibilities.
These responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
• Tasks associated with executing an annual tournament calendar, such as:
o Creating invitations
o Online tournament management
o Marketing of events and or merchandise
o Management of event registrations
o Assisting with selecting and ordering tee gifts and prizes
o Coordination of lodging, dining and transportation needs
o Preparation of event rules sheets
o Verification of handicap indexes and creation of pairings
o Communication with host clubs and event participants
o Upon request, travel to and assist with events
• Other responsibilities may include:
o Assisting with Store Spotlight merchandise promotions
o Corporate and member special-order fulfillment
o Membership sales
o Payables and receivables
o Maintaining the USGA handicap system
o Assist with member tee time requests
o Mailing and shipping
o Website and app management
o Timely email and voicemail follow-up
• Desired knowledge and skills
o Maintain (or work towards) a PGA of America membership and maintain good standing in an active classification
o Fundamental knowledge of the game of golf, rules of golf, golf facilities and tournament operations
o Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills
o Exceptional customer service
o Self-motivated with a desire to promote and market
o Experienced in written and oral business communications
o Utilization of PGA membership resources
o Experienced computer which may include:
• Microsoft products
• Google drive
• Adobe Illustrator
• Website management
• Tournament software
• Constant Contact
• Preferred experience
o Private Country Club or high-level resort
o Planning of domestic and international member trips
o Domestic and international travel
o Golf tournament planning and execution
o Merchandise management
o Facilitation of unaccompanied tee times at private clubs
o Established network of private clubs and professionals
This list is merely a guide of what may be requested of the Assistant Tournament Director.
The Tournament Director will report directly, and receive assignments from, the Director of Golf and General Manager at MB Golf, LLC. The Tournament Director will support the Tournament Director.
All duties requested by MB Golf, LLC shall be performed with the commitment to the highest level of customer service and total satisfaction of all our clients.
The Tournament Director will be bound by a separate Mutual Confidentially Agreement to be provided when a written agreement is signed.
The independent contractor will be paid an agreed upon monthly compensation by MB Golf, LLC based on skills and industry experience.
