    THE SHORE CLUB
    Cape May Court House, New Jersey
    The Shore Club was started by a small group of members in 1916, originally as The
    Wildwood Country Club. Designed by Wayne Stiles on a pristine property overlooking
    Jenkins Sound Bay. The course is known for its natural woodlands, marsh, water views,
    tight fairways, and challenging greens.
    Rebranded as The Shore Club in 2017 it is the premiere private golf club in one of the most
    popular summer resort areas in the country. The club’s history includes being Arnold
    Palmer’s primary club when he was in the Coast Guard and was the site of many
    early national tournaments.
    Recently a small group of members bought the club from its members and embarked on a
    complete restoration and rebranding as The Shore Club. Since that time, the full
    membership has gone from 100 to over 300 and total membership to over 700. The
    clubhouse has gone through major renovations, including reimagining the food and
    beverage service, and the course is also amid a refresh including a new irrigation system,
    and practice facilities.

    MEMBERSHIP SALES DIRECTOR AND BRAND EMBASSADOR
    The Membership Director serves to implement the process and successful enrollment of
    prospects into The Shore Club. This position has an emphasis on driving membership
    revenues while focusing on customer service, member experience, and member retention.
    As the expert in all membership experiences of a private country club the director plays a
    pivotal role in the success and branding of the club.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Management and development of membership initiatives, including member
    engagement, retention, and recruitment efforts
    • Develop membership strategies and campaigns to increase membership revenue
    • Prospects for qualified leads and creates traffic through mailers, referrals, outreach,
    social media, and other club approved approaches
    • Consistently looks for opportunities to gain new members and elevate member
    engagement

    OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Develops and adheres to a departmental budget; monitors and takes corrective
    action as necessary to help assure that budget goals are attained
    • Responsible for member records and the integrity of the membership list and data
    base
    • Maintains membership data and statistics, analyzes, and leverages to drive member
    engagement initiatives
    • Develops and analyzes member surveys
    • Responsible for all membership communications
    • Maintains member website
    • Stays abreast of membership trends and implements best practices and strategies in
    membership recruitment, retention, and branding

    • Engages in activities that positively impact the member experience
    • Attend sales and training meetings weekly

    EXPERIENCE
    • Minimum 5 years membership sales, operations, recruitment, and retention
    • Bachelor’s Degree in communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field
    • Proficient with English grammar, writing and communication skills
    • Must be technological proficient with strong internet, social media, marketing skills
    • Highly organized with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
    • This position requires a flexible work schedule and availability to work nights,
    weekends, and holidays

    COMPENSATION and BENEFITS
    Compensation:
    • Full-time, salaried, commission + base
    • Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications
