    Whippoorwill Club offers an unparalleled golfing experience to its 330 golfing members, managing 19,000 rounds of play annually. As a club that prides itself on service excellence and a premier golfing experience, we are seeking an Assistant Golf Professional to take a key role in our golf operation. This position will involve an active role in golf instruction, club repair, club fitting, daily operations, member relations, and the advancement of Whippoorwill's golf programs.

    Experience Required:
    • PGA Member or apprentice in good standing.
    • A proven knowledge of club fitting, club repair, and golf instruction.
    • Proven experience in golf shop operations.
    • High proficiency in current technologies including Golf Genius, Foretees, Microsoft Office applications, and POS systems.
    Essential Responsibilities:
    • Greet and engage with members, guests, and visitors, ensuring all interactions reflect the club’s commitment to excellence.
    • Outstanding customer service skills with a strong focus on relationship building and member satisfaction.
    • Perform all club repair duties, club fittings, and monitor all stock, demo, fit cart, and rental equipment.
    • Provide golf instruction in individual and group settings.
    • Execute golf shop operations including monitoring inventory levels, receiving, keeping the golf shop presentable and full of merchandise, and maintaining smooth and efficient day-to-day operations.
    • Enforce and interpret club policies, rules, and regulations while fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere for members and staff.
    • Play golf with members and guests to build relationships and provide insights on improving their game.
    • Provide continuous feedback to the Head Golf Professional on operational improvements and member satisfaction.
    • Take responsibility for PGA of America member requirements, including ensuring professional development for yourself and the team.
    • Strong knowledge of the game of golf, including rules, etiquette, and a competitive golf skillset.
    • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and during peak times, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
    • 45-60 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying schedules based on club needs, including weekends and holidays.
