Staffing will be our biggest challenge. Not only will it be challenging to get our staffs off of unemployment with the nice federal checks, but not knowing exactly what our operation will look like on the other side of this is going to make it challenging to ramp up or down to match up to our budgets.
Making sure all high touch areas are sanitized enough. Explaining to members why non dependent family need to be treated the same as guests and cannot come to the club.
Not being able to provide the normal services and welcoming experience to the members, as well as probably having to use the word NO because of our service limitations and members trying to break the rules that we have in place due to COVID 19.
I think the biggest challenge will be dealing with members that are not following the rules we have put in place to allow for a safe and enjoyable experience. Members are used to our staff catering to every need. I think the relatively low service we are able to offer will be tough for members to get used to and could put us and our staff in some awkward situations.
Transitioning my staff to different levels of service. IE. At the start of the season our staff will not be able to handle bags or other items for members which goes against all of the training they have received in the past. As the summer goes on we will have to re-train them to do all of those things again as restrictions get lifted. A shifting baseline of safety and service standards will be a huge hurdle this season.
Introduction of new and additional sanitizing procedures on a daily basis and controlling an overwhelming flow of traffic in areas of the Clubhouse that have been closed for an extended period of time.
Having enough carts if we are single user only along with no caddies.

Uncertainty. We really don’t know how people will react when this is all over.
